Tonight at our young married community group, I was reminded of some simple truths. In studying the first chapter of James, I was reminded that God wants us to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to wrath. These are such simple, yet very complex principles. It's almost as if God is laying out for us a thought process. This is very counter culture to the reactive, horn-blowing within a sec of light turning green culture that many of us encounter day to day. I was inspired tonight. I was reminded that God desires each of us to take our time in deciding on the approaching thoughts through active listening before making judgements. Many times I act first then think later. I have so much to learn from the living, breathing Lord we serve. Such wisdom. Going to try to apply this in my daily life this week.
